There’s a really great tool online called Smush.it that will compress and optimize your images even more after you’ve done some tweaks in Photoshop, I highly recommend it.

I made a post that was really heavy on images (it needed to be) so it’s a little rough loading, I may have to optimize some of them so people don’t bounce from the page.

  • Yay, 3arn.Net is now a PR4
    Congrats!

Keep going, you’ll soon hit that PR5 and from there you have so much more to strive for, I’m sure you can do it :)

  • Ways To Earn Extra Money Online
Freelance writing and blogging has been my best way to make a little bit of extra money. I believe that if I didn’t have a job, I could still support myself with all of my writing alone. Maybe one day I’ll make that transition.

Marketplaces like freelancer.com is a great place to start.

  • Make Easy Money Online
You have to, in some ways, treat you blog as a business or at least a platform for your online assets.

From your blog, you can build up and up, it’s your base of operation on the net.

  • Free Money, Is There Really Such A Thing?
I think we all get too caught up with the hype around making “free money” because it’s this wonderful idea but unfortunately, a pipe dream.

Like anything, you have to work for it. There are easier alternatives to what many people do to make money but it’s still work.

  5. Just because more people have access to DSL and Cable doesn’t mean sites should abandon dial-up visitors. There are still vast regions of the united states and definately in other countries that have access no fast than dial-up. Cutting them out of the picture isn’t a smart marketing move.

    Abdul Reply:

I don’t know much about Dial-up users in other countries, but where I live, 60% users are using dial-up internet with speeds like 48.8 or 56 KBps! 8-|

A usefull tool for those of us without photoshop is evjo pic resizer. Works with single pics or whole directories at a time. You can get it from evjosoft.com for free although it is donationware.

Another alternative is to use a photohosting site and load the pics from there. Saves me a ton of bandwidth and also earns a bit. You can see it in action on my site.

    Abdul Reply:

Although I don’t know about evjo Pic resizer, but as the name says I hope it doesn’t resize the image, if so then that’s not the pint I am talking about, and secondly although you can host images elsewhere but that would mean that the visitors would still have to download that much, the photoshop optimization is a quite better alternative, better for both; the visitor and the blogger! ;)
