This is a very common thing, that newbies usually ask that whether they have to spend money on the Net to earn money, or is it free? Well, it actually depends on you, if you’re willing enough you will never have to spend a single penny to earn money online, it depends on your self will, that whether you would work hard or to sit back and relax. As for blogging following are some things that you might do yourself, that is without money or you could also do them with money as well:

Getting a Blog designed

If you want a successful blog you must have a good enough design, which must be unique. Imagine, how can your Blog get big having the same design as millions of other Blogs, people will think of it as just another useless Blog. But getting you Blog designed costs money, by that I mean above $200 or something, since I did not get mine designed by someone else, I do not know the exact pricing. This money can be saved, if you have a lot of knowledge about HTML, CSS and some graphic designing, I have myself designed this Blog, saving the money which I might have needed to spend if I did not design it myself, although I am not a professional graphic designer, but I don’t think that this design is that bad.

Getting Traffic

For this I think that you do not need to spend money in the initial stages. You could make use of traffic exchanges , social networking websites and there are many other ways of getting free traffic like forums. However, If you’re lazy, moreover, if you are willing to spend money then PPC websites are always there, just sign up for one and advertise, if you really are willing to spend then I think that advertising on PPC websites would be the best choice, getting you real targetted visitors, worth every penny you spend on them. However, you may use free traffic in the intital stages and once your Blog starts making money you may use a proportion of the income to advertise.

Getting Widgets for the Blog

This is especially for those who use WordPress, you can get very useful widgets for your Blogs, as I have seen them, I think they are something worth spending money on.They include widgets like related posts, which can really help to increase your page views. They will really help you develop your Blog to a Big one.

The bigger it gets the more are the expenses

As your Blog gets bigger, there will be many more expenses that you might face. Big blogs need there own hosting and a domain, they might even require extra staff for handling the large traffic and doing small works, which you would be too lazy to do by then.

As in my case, I have only paid for minor things like Domain, etc. However, sooner or later the expenses will increase and I will handle them with this Blog’s income, not out of my pocket!
