I really do not pay attention to alexa or compete but if you are selling advertising on your website or blog then you need to find ways to increase your alexa ratings. The higher your alexa rating the higher you can charge for advertising spots on your site.

Very true and very important words in this article! Many people just think that earning money from a blog is so easy that they soon will become a millionaire. If that would be the truth we all would be bloggers already, so there is nothing exceptional about making money that way. And it is work. Hard work for many months or even years, day by day building web position to become visible. Good that you showed many beginners that this is not a fairytale but real life.

Also, don’t focus so much on money - it’s a complete illusion anyway. It’s colored paper that is only worth what everyone says it is, and with the economy like it is, you shouldn’t put too much value in it right now.
You probably don’t want to be a wage-slave and work at McDonalds, or even in some cubicle for the rest of your life, even if it pays well. If you do want income (which is rather handy, admittedly), get a job that you enjoy - try something different. If you don’t like it, quit and try something else. Never keep a job just because you feel like you “need the money” - don’t sacrifice your happiness for colored bits of paper - life’s too short for that. But don’t expect free handouts or quick riches - that’s not how things work. Just be happy, and trust that things will work out if you want them to. Be willing to work for what you want, and don’t sacrifice your happiness to an illusion.
How do I make money online without spending money?
It’s probably true that it’s hard to find easy money. The problem for newbie is they just listen and never take aciton. For my experience i was trying to find the best way to make easy money and never take action for any method because i always think that it will have easier method until i decide to take action. and YES i did find some problem the hardest part is to get your first sale and after that it’s easier and easier. Just take an action and you will be success.
I’ve filled out surveys for supposed money and never got a cent. Most of the time I didn’t want whatever it was they were surveying about. And, even if you did want the stuff, you have to fill out hundreds if not thousands of surveys to get OK money. It’s not worth the time.

Hey there, I also found your blog through Youngest Bloggers. It’s really tremendous that you are so successful online blogging. Thanks for these tips; I have a number of blogs that I’ve developed for my mortgage sites but I’ve never tried to monetize them!
You have to, in some ways, treat you blog as a business or at least a platform for your online assets.
From your blog, you can build up and up, it’s your base of operation on the net.
It takes a lot of effort to drive enough traffic to a website to make money from adsense. My question is, why spend so much TIME and EFFORT trying to make a few cents from a visitor that is likely to NEVER return to your website ever again?
Create something valuable. Give it away for free in exchange for their name and email address. THEN and only THEN try to make money from them… but not before providing them value on a regular basis.
The bottom line is, if you’re not building your email list, then you’re leaving money on the table. In fact, if you’re not building your list, you’re likely to give up like that 98% you were talking about.
Just my two cents.
Abdulrehman, hi there. I like your ideas about making money online. The fact is that most people do give up, but those who don’t DO see the rewards. I just wrote an article called Earn $1000 An Hour With AdSense. I wrote this to let people know two things, just like you said: (1) Earning money online, even lots of money, is possible and (2)it’s a long process and everything you do needs time to leak its way to success.

Money making online is not easy as 1234 it takes time and you need to learn more about it, adsense it the best way to earn money online using your blog or website but you must have a huge traffic first and a quality content.

I came across your blog through another blog and was interested in finding out more of what it has to offer.
Apparently, as I scrolled through and stumbled upon this faithful piece, I am happy that you have came up with such a good insight to make money online today.
Basically, I just started my first blog some time ago ( not long ) after getting quite a decent amount online though affiliate marketing , and your post has indeed given me great tips to improve my blog.
However, I got a bit caught up with the fact that you mentioned about not slapping any adsense or similar application onto ones blog within the first 2-3 months of a new blog.
gulp, apparently, did that. =P . I understand the fact that I would most probably not be able to get any income for that sort of application just yet from my blog but I was just a bit too eager to slap it onto my blog.
Should I take it down now? maybe not. I won’t bother just yet. I assume its already up there therefore lets just keep it that way.
But i am working all it takes to optimize as well as monetize my blog.
Hopefully in time to come, I could be able to come up with what you have achieved . =)

I agree that the techniques for making money online are not difficult. One does need to put in the time and effort to be able to do it though.
Many internet marketers argue that there is in fact no such thing as ‘make easy money’. I’ll agree with them when you see that at every other website.
This is totally true. Some fool others into believing it is when in fact it isn’t. There’s no easy job in this world. You always have to work hard for everything and that includes making money online. The people doing this are just in for the money and not really in helping others really make money online.
