Google Pagerank Update!

This is a quick post as I just happened to notice by ‘mistake’ that my pagerank had changed. First I thought it was an error, but no, google has just released a pagerank update yesterday. The last pagerank update just came out at April 1st and I was among the April fools expecting a pagerank upgrade.

I didn’t blog that update because I felt pissed because I didn’t get an upgrade in the pagerank. But I suppose you would’ve guessed it, yeah my pagerank just upgraded from PR2 to PR3. Moreover, I now have over 20 pages which are PR2+ and about 5 which are PR3+. So I feel really blessed by this update.

Everyone was expecting an update somewhere near the start of July but this was quite a surprise. I’m excited and some will be happy while others will be sad. Check your pagerank now to know which category will you lie in. Keep your fingers crossed and don’t be too dis-heartened by this update because even I have over 15 mini-sites and not even one of them got an upgrade in case you don’t get an upgrade.

    yes! you are correct. In one of my site my pagerank just upgraded from PR1 to PR2…

    My blog upgraded from PR2 to PR3 too, I thought it would be PR4. But it’s fine, I’m working hard to achieve. :)

    Same here, although I wasn’t even expecting this Pagerank update. I was expecting one to come up in July. Although I was highly disappointed last time, that is on April 1st@ :)

    Congratulations. Getting a PR3 is great but it is even better to have several pages with PR2s and PR3. For some reason I managed to go from PR0 to PR4 but most of the internal pages has no PR yet (since the blog is just 6 weeks in the making).

    Wow, that’s great. I think it’s mostly because you’re commenting on blogs with your site’s main page as the website URl so that passes quite a lot of juice to your main page.

    @Sterndal, well you’ll have to wait for a PR update as well. I was just lucky that there was an update after just 6 weeks. :)

    Congratulations. Your blog has reach to a new step, I am a big fan of page rank although I heard from countless sources that it is useless but I still believe it. Strangely my page rank did not changed so far I think it should as I have put a lot of effort recently may be I have to wait .

    Uh…Yeah, you could say that the pagerank is useless. But 90% of the times the website on the top of search engines are the ones with High PR. 90% of the times the websites with sitelinks are the ones with High PR. So I suppose it does make a difference after all!

    You can obtain better pagerank by getting link from a high PR site. The easiest is by posting a comment or people’s blog with high PR.
