I have also updated my blogs from the slightly older WordPress 2.6.5 to the new WordPress 2.7 RC2 through cPanel. The navigation off the bat has improved (sidebar), however, I find that the admin drop-down menu plugin is still preferable to out-of-the-box WP 2.7’s.

hey its quiet fantastic ..what a tremendous improvement!!!
2.7 is really cool - using it on my blog. the best feature that they have included in it is -Auto Upgrade, no more pain of upgrading manually every other week.
Wordpress 2.7 is absolutely awesome. Love it! Wordpress rules!
I just created a new blog today and it was the wordpress 2.7. It gave me a shock when I logged in because I didnt expect it. The sidebar took a bit to get used too cause I was so used to it being a top bar.
Now wordpress 2.8 is also released. I hope you will write about it soon.
