According to the previous parts of this series, by now you should have a blog with a good design and should be writing articles on it. What I am going to talk about now, is one of the most important factors to make a blog successful. Yes that’s right now we come to the part where we talk about getting traffic. You may be having a very good blog, with unique design and writing good articles worth getting thousands of page views, but if people do not even know about your website how can they value your rich content? I am not saying that content is not the main aspect of a good blog, but you should also market it in the right way.

Getting traffic can be one of the most difficult and frustrating job on the internet you could ever get. However, watching your traffic stats can be increasingly enjoyable. If there is a really savvy person out there reading this article who does not know what traffic is, traffic is the number visitors of a website. The more they are, better chances you have of getting big.

The easiest way of getting targetted traffic to your websites is through search engines. For that you must have a good ranking in search engines for your website to be in top search results. You need your website to be suitable for search engines so that they can index your website easily. There are many articles on this blog regarding search engine optmization and you can consult them, just hit the search it on the blog and you’ll get many useful articles.

Another way of getting targetted traffic related to your niche is by commenting on similar blogs like yours, it is natural that you keep a check on your competitor’s blogs and once you are there it will not harm you if you leave a few comments. This way you have more chances of getting traffic from their website by readers from their blog. So it is best that you select about 10 famous blogs related to your niche, and comment over there regularly and you’ll have chances of getting a lot of traffic from their blogs. Some blogs like mine have a widget called top commentators so that means if you comment regularly on their blogs you have a chance to be up on that list, thus giving you a link-back as well. So you can begin by commenting on this blog, a few comments and you’ll be up on my list.
