I Just Turned 17 - Belated Birthday Post

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

It’s 4 days past my birthday, and I wasn’t able to update my blog on the day of my birthday. Thanks to my examinations. Anyways, here I am, a year older since I last posted. Thanks to all those who prayed for me, my exams went good. I’m three down, seven to go.

Yeah, that’s right. I’m no more that 13 year old that just entered his teens. I’m all grown up, and damn, I feel old :( . Life’s ticking time and money away (Courtesy: Linkin Park), we just have to make the best use of our time.

The funny thing is, by looking at all of my blog entries (Over 150 to date), I can see myself growing up through my words. how I used to make money online back then, and how I’m doing so now. I changed this blog when I turned 15 and since that time I’ve been writing quite periodically.

With time, as we grow up. Life brings more problems and you have to deal with more obligations than you had to deal withyesterday. This hinders your progress a lot. It’s only a year till I’m 18 and then I go to university and become super busy.

Internet marketing, the word I use to summarise the ton of different things I do online, is definitely not a part-time job. This is especially in the case if you want to make some good money. But oh well, enough of my ranting.

Be kind enough, and wish me a belated birthday through a comment. It won’t cost you a penny, nor would it take more than a minute. Here’s something in advance: Thank you! Now you owe me a birthday wish. :)

A Quick Update On My Exams

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

I have not been able to blog for a while now, you might have noticed that. The reason is that, off the internet, I’m just like any ordinary kid who has to give exams. I’m in Grade 11, AS level and 11th marks the start of my cambridge examinations.

I scored 10 A’s in my o levels and definitely have to maintain those A grades. Though there are only 5 subjects this time, but it is much more difficult as compared o the previous level.

I’m appearing in the Maths, Economics, Accounting, Business studies and thinking skills papers. So getting those 5 A grades is my main concern at the moment. As I type this, I have my thinking skills book open next to my netbook begging for me to read it.

Other than that, since the last time I posted, 3arn.net has progressed quite well. It is getting over 800 visitors daily and gets a lot of pageviews too. The main reason being that it is ranking number 1 for the term “make money on the internet“.

This had been my main aim since I started blogging, and it calls for a more detailed write-up which I shall do soon. Bottom line, I am in quite a very tense position right now. Please, wish me luck and pray that I succeed in my examinations. I’ll start writing as soon as I get time between my exams. :)

Who Else Is Coming To YLES 2010?

Friday, January 1st, 2010

I’ve been pretty busy these days due to on-going events. I had examinations at school, I was launching a few new website and other routine stuff. Some time back I applied for YLES (Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs summit) and our team got accepted.

This business event is being held at LUMS university, Pakistan. I know there are not a big number of pakistani bloggers out there. But I think many people might be coming to this event. It’s the first time I’m attending YLES, and I’ve heard good stuff about it in the past years.

Moreover, since it’s the young leaders and entrepreneurs summit, I’m not going to bored at all. I look forward to learning lots of new stuff. Because if you know about me, you’d know that business and entrepreneurship runs in my blood.

It’s a 4 day event, with different forms of activities that are all fun-filled. I’m mostly looking forward to the business events and would love to hear from fellow pakistanis. Since, the main motto this year is ‘Sustainopreneurship’. I would be keen to know how people integrate this into their business plans.

It’s a four-day event from 19th to 23rd January. Oh well, if you are coming to YLES 2010, then let me know through the contact form or through the comments below. I’ll definitely be looking forward to meet new people. Tell them how cool I am. Maybe we could learn a thing or two from each other. So let me know if you’re coming through the comments below and we can meet-up at the event. :)

Happy Birthday To The Kid That Makes Money

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

I reconsidered the title: Happy birthday to the kid guy that makes money. Ouch,  that is about 12 days without an article. You might be thinking where I was, but to tell the truth I have final examinations coming up and I needed to study and so I was a little more than busy to blog. Anyways, you read the title.

Today, 9th May I have turned 16 years old. Wow, I feel big. Not in terms of weight, I mean colossal. 15 years seemed a little more than kiddish, but 16 years is an age which makes you legal for a lot of things. I mean you can make more money, hehe.

By the time you read this article, I will be having a birthday party with my family and friends or probably studying for my exams. Dang, I wanted to write a lot more for this but unfortunately I am short of time. I have already time-stamped an article in the coming days so that you don’t see my blog completely out-dated. I will be back by the 1st of June. Since both my birthday and my blog’s birthday will be pending here, I will hold a grand contest with the come back.

Who’s The Money Making Happy Boy?

I know you have a routine full of crappy things to do like spamming, but I suppose taking a few seconds out of your busy routine to wish me a happy birthday will not harm you. While I might be happy, but I’m a little tensed as well. Studies are tought especially for a 16 year old who makes money on the internet, and I cannot afford to get off the A grade in any one of the subjects. So wish me a happy birthday and wish me luck for my exams.

Desktop Art - Creating Designs from lousy folders

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

All I have ever filled my desktop with is crap Krap. I think it has never been that my desktop or any inner space of the hard disk was organized. I mean that usually I get a cluttered look on my desktop when there are about 50+ files on it. To fix the whole thing up I make a folder called ‘Desktop 1′, pretty neat right? Well it would be good enough if I would stick to just making one of such folders but I actually end up getting my desktop filled with one of these every 2 weeks and I do not want to delete the most temporary file that I had created. This screen shot would help you get a view of the folders I copied from my old computer to the new one:

Exactly, previously I had been running on 5 desktops and you can just imagine what I had to go through when I was to look for a file. It is usually best to keep your desktop as small as possible in terms of files as it may improve your loading time. Although now I have begun serious sorting out on the folders to keep my new computer organized. I wonder how organized other people have their desktops, and recently I was experiencing some design patterns while I was fixing my folders, I thought that it was just me but a little search showed me a lot of creative stuff. It is a lot of fun to try out these type of things, and I’ll leave you with this very nice desktop Art that I found at Gizmodo showing Homer Simpson doing that spider pig stuff from the Simpsons Movie all made up with folders, you should try this as well:
